What is GoGreen Travel Project?

Greenhouse gas emissions from travel continue to grow. When looking at the tourism sector, new research estimates that tourism accounts for about 8 percent of global gas emissions.

Environmental protection and the fight against climate change are two of the pillars on which the GoGreen Travel Project is based. The project includes the launch of the GoGreen Travel Club.

The GoGreen Travel Club will be the first hotel booking platform bringing together travellers concerned about climate change, as well as hotels wanting to achieve their sustainability goals and desiring to be leaders in the vanguard of the effort to retool the global economy into one that is cleaner, greener and more sustainable.

The Club's revenue is dedicate to help the environment by planting trees to recover forests in degraded lands. By planting trees the Club achieves two objectives, on the one hand to compensate the travel CO2 footprint emitted by the travellers and on the other hand to compensate also the emissions of the hotel in the long term.

  • Low Commissions - GoGreen Travel Club  charge hotels a flat rate of 12% for each booking – a notable decrease compared to the 15% to 30% fee typically required by major OTAs.
  • Carbon Footprint Offsetting  - Participating in an ecological tree planting project to restore forests on degraded land is one of the best ways to offset carbon dioxide emissions. During one year, a mature tree can absorb more than 35 kg of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. We use the 60% of the commissions received from the bookings of our Club's members to plant trees to offset the carbon footprint of your hotel.
  • Inclusion on a Plaque of Collaborating Companies - At the end of each project we will place a plaque in the field with the list of companies that have collaborated in the regeneration of each forest.

By participating in the GoGreen Travel project, your hotel can even avoid in the future the purchase of carbon credits to offset the emission of greenhouse gases. We offer the possibility to register your tree plantation and its CO2 compensation at the Miteco (Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge). In this way you will be able to obtain the stamp of the carbon footprint registry, compensation and carbon dioxide absorption projects.

  • What happens after I sign up?

    1. We’ll review your information and contact you via e-mail to make sure all the information provided for our search engine is correct.


    2. We’ll set your property live and send you an email to review and confirm that the information of your listing is accurate.


    3. We’ll set it live to all the BOOKING DIRECT Club Members around the world.

    Don’t worry — we’re still reviewing your information and will contact you soon.

  • Can I make changes to my property listing and incentives offered?

    Once your listing is live, you can update your details, discount or incentives offered at any time via email. Changes in the discount or incentives offered to BOOKING DIRECT Club Members will take effect within 7 days of your notification.  Changes will not affect to reservations done prior to the change in our website.

  • I understand that any change or cancellation of the incentives offered to GoGreen Travel Club Members has to be communicated to LT Group with a minimum of 15 days notice via email. 
  • No ammendments or changes will be implemented without an email notification.
  • Changes or cancellation will not affect previous confirmed bookings.
  • LT Group and its authorized agents are not responsible for errors, omissions or inaccuracies in information provided by the suppliers.
All properties are ultimately reviewed by a LT Group representative.

All of this, including properties’ exclusive amenities, can only be accessed by been a GoGreen Travel Club Member.
